Oxford Green Week02/06/2017
Oxford Green Week is a city-wide festival which uses culture, creativity and community to inspire local people to take action on climate change. It’s a celebration of all things good and green in our city, and an opportunity to show how we can all save money, get fit and be happy whilst being kind to the environment.
There is something fun happening in every corner of the city – and most of the events are totally free of charge. From arts to architecture, foodie events to film screenings, and from cycling to recycling – there really is something for everyone in this year’s festival. Highlights include:
o Oxford’s Big Green Day Out on Broad Street on Saturday 10 June o Test Drive The Future on Sunday 18 June o H2Oxford at Hinksey Outdoor Pool on Friday 16 and Saturday 17 June - a light and sound installation with Film Oxford, with optional midnight swim o Big Green Treasure Hunt – win a Brompton Bike in a prize treasure trail across the city in June o Tandem Festival – one of the most environmentally-friendly music festivals in the UK o A Series of expert ‘Green Behind the Scenes’ tours at Oxford colleges, theatres, leisure centres, hospitals and businesses
